PT2358 6-Channel Volume Controller IC SMD

The PT2358 is a 6-channel audio selector that uses CMOS technology and is specifically intended for the next generation of AV multi-channel audio systems. The PT2358 features an I2C Control Interface with a 0 to -79dB at 1dB/step attenuation range, low noise, and good channel separation. As a result, it provides a highly effective electronic audio processor with the best performance and dependability while using the fewest external components possible. The pin assignments and application circuit for this volume controller IC have been improved for ease of PCB layout and cost savings. PT2358 is a 6-channel audio processor IC with 28 pins in a DIP or SO package.

The SDA and SCL are used to send and receive data from the CPU to the PT2358 in this IC. The BUS Interface’s SDA and SCL functions.

Data Validation 

• When the SCL signal is HIGH, the data on the SDA channel is deemed stable.
• The HIGH and LOW states of the SDA line change only when the SCL is LOW.

Start and Stop Condition 

A Start Condition is activated when

1.  The SCL set to HIGH and
2. SDA shifts from HIGH to LOW State.

The Stop Condition is activated when

1. SCL set to HIGH and
2. SDA shifts from LOW to HIGH State
