The XL6009 4A DC to DC boost converter steps up the input voltage from 3V ~ 32V to any high output voltage from 5V ~ 35V at a continuous current of 4 A depending on the input-output voltage settings. Since it is a boost convertor the output voltage will be always higher than the input voltage. XL6009 4A DC to DC boost converter provides excellent line and load regulation, as it is capable of driving 4A load current. Under the condition when the output current exceeds 2.5A, or output power greater than 10W, a heat sink needs to be added to avoid thermal damages. XL6009 IC is available in fixed output voltages of 3.3 V, 5V, 12V, and an adjustable output version.
XL6009 DC-DC step-up power module booster is a low-cost module with over current and current limiting features. A built-in 4A efficient MOSFET switches enable to achieve an efficiency of up to 94%. Thus XL6009 offers better results and a low ripple factor. This DC-DC Module is designed based on IC XL6009E1 which provides a high-performance step-up switching current (BOOST) module. The XL6009 operates at a higher switching frequency of 400 kHz and allows the use of small-capacity filter components compared with low frequency switching regulators. Thus module allows to reduce the overall board size to be smaller and thus helps for space-saving. The XL6009 DC to DC buck-boost converter module is the upgraded version of the LM2577 based module.
