The 74LS170 is a low-power, high-speed 4 x 4 Register File with four words and four bits. Simultaneous read and write operations are possible thanks to separate read and write inputs, as well as separate address and enable inputs. Open-collector outputs allow up to 128 outputs to be linked together in a wired-AND arrangement, increasing the word capacity to 512 words. The 74LS170 IC is capable of functioning in a broad variety of working voltages and environments. And it works with CMOS, NMOS, and TTL directly. Meanwhile, the IC’s output is always TTL, making it simple to interface with other TTL devices and microcontrollers. The IC 74LS170 is also smaller in size and has a much faster speed, making it extremely reliable in any device.
