Description
74LS641 Octal Bus Transceiver IC designed explicitly for asynchronous two-way communication between data buses. The device allows to transmits the data from Bus A to Bus B or from Bus B to Bus A depending upon the level at the direction control DIR input. The Enable input E’ used to disable the device so that the device effectively isolates.
74LS641 Octal Bus Transceiver IC is identical to the standard versions except for the recommended maximum IOL increased to 48 milliamperes. This IC operates at a supply voltage at a range between 4.75V and a maximum of 5.25V. This IC designed for operation over the full military temperature range of −0°C to 75°C. 74LS641 manufactured in 20−pin plastic PDIP wide-body surface-mount packages.
Bus transceivers designed as electronic tri-state bi-directional devices that allow the flow of data between two points. This makes them compatible with bus-oriented systems or the bi-directional (input or output) control of interface circuitry.
