Description
The 82C79 Microcontroller IC designed as a programmable display/keyboard interface. The keyboard portion offers a scanned interface up to a 64-contact key matrix. Also, the keyboard portion is capable of interfacing to an array of sensors or a strobed interface keyboard. Key depressions can be 2-key lockout or N-Key rollover. Meanwhile, the display portion consists of 16 by 8 bits display RAM treated as dual 16 by 4 bits. In tis microcontroller IC, both the right entry and left entry display formats are possible.
