The AP8022 Power Switch IC designed as an integrated Pulse Width Modulators (PWM) controller and power MOSFET designed explicitly for high-performance offline Switch Mode Power Supplies (SMPS). Thus operated with minimal external components. Both devices integrated as high voltage power switching regulators which combine a MOSFET with a current mode PWM control block. This integrated PWM controller consists of a fixed oscillator with frequency modulation for reduced EMI. It features complete protection coverage with automatic self-recovery features including Cycle-by-Cycle current limiting (OCP), over-voltage protection (OVP), over-temperature protection (OTP), and also soft-start. Moreover, the Burst mode operation feature of this device offers the possibility to operate in standby mode without extra components. This is the advanced platform for low standby-power and also cost-effective flyback converter.
