CAN-BUS designed as a common industrial bus because of its long travel distance, medium communication speed, and high reliability. These Bus shields widely used on modern machine tools, such as an automotive diagnostic bus. This CAN-BUS Shield comes with an MCP2515 CAN Bus controller with an SPI interface and MCP2551 CAN transceiver to Arduino/Seeduino CAN-BUS capability. CAN connection established via a standard 9-way sub-D for use with OBD-II cable. With an OBD-II converter cable added on and the OBD-II, library imported, to build an onboard diagnostic device or data logger. This CAN bus shield with Default pinout OBD-II and CAN standard pinout selected by switching jumpers on the DB9 interface.
Moreover, this CAN shield consists of a USB card holder, serial LCD connector, and connector for an EM506 GPS module.
