The DS18B20 Water Proof Temperature Probe – Black (1m) is a temperature probe built exclusively for the DS18B20 sensor. This probe can be used to measure anything from a long distance or in wet conditions. There will be no signal deterioration over a long distance because they are digital. The stainless steel tube encapsulation protects the probe from corrosion by providing watertight moisture proofing.
Over much of the range, the 3-wire digital temperature sensor was accurate to within 0.5°C. As a result, the temperature can be monitored with 0.0625 C accuracy. The integrated digital-to-analogue converter can provide output that is digitally accurate to 12 bits of accuracy.
The proprietary 1-wire interface allows this module to work with any microcontroller through a single digital pin. As a consequence, several sensors may be linked to Arduino using only one common line. To distinguish them, each has a unique 64-bit ID burnt in at the manufacturing. This is the most recent DS18B20 1-Wire digital temperature sensor probe, which works with 3.0-5.0V systems and has a precision of 9 to 12 bits, with temperature measuring ranges of -55C to +125C and accuracy of 0.5C. When utilising with a microcontroller, connect the sensor pin to a 4.7k resistor as a pullup from the DATA to the VCC line.
