A Hexacopter Frame consists of 6 arms to get into the air. A hexacopter frame possesses several advantages over a quadcopter one, especially the low cost. In order to operate 6 arms, obviously, there need more motors with a hexacopter. This means more power and more batteries are required. This increase in the number of batteries increases the fight time which gradually provides high performance. As a result, the hexacopter exhibits more stability than the quadcopter due to these extra motors. Another great advantage of hexacopters is that it provides safe landing in the case when one or maybe even two motors are down, whereas in quadcopter if for any reason your quadcopter loses a motor, it goes down. This ensures an extra inbuilt guarantee on our hexacopter.
This F550 Hexa-Copter Frame with 6 arms is made up of Glass Fibre which makes it tough and durable. Ultra-durable Polyamide-Nylon is used for manufacturing arms that are much stronger moulded arms providing better thickness. As a result, there will be no arm breakage at the motor mounts on a hard landing. Moreover, these arms have support ridges on them, which improves stability and provides faster forward flight.
In order to guide the copter in the right direction, the arm was coloured as 2-red, 2-white, and 2-black. And this also allows the whole take-off weight to be controlled at about 1200-2400 gm. The F550 Glass Fibre Mini Quadcopter Frame is strong, light, and has a sensible configuration including a PCB (Printed Circuit Board). As a result, it can be directly soldered with ESCs to the Quadcopter. Thus, making the Quadcopter construction fast and easy. Moreover, it avoids the use of extra PDB (Power Distribution Board) and makes the mounting clean and neat.
The frame is constructed with a wheelbase of 550mm and weighs around 620gm. Pre-threaded brass sleeves are included in the copter for all of the frame bolts, so attaching the arms to the mainframe is done quite easily. Also, it requires one size of bolt for the overall build and thus a unique one-size hex wrench for hardware mounting. This feature of the Q450 Quadcopter Frame makes it so easy to assemble and disassemble. This F550 Hexa-Copter Frame also supports standard flight controllers like MK, KK, FF, MWC, APM. As it consists of a Large Center plate, mounting tabs at the front and rear end on the bottom plate of the mainframe allows mounting of gimbals and camera for FPV and aerial photography.
