This GT2 Open Timing Belt for 3D Printer and CNC designed as high-quality precision 1M GT2 Width 6mm Black Open Timing Belt specifically for3D Printer. This timing belt made from high-quality NEOPRENE – Synthetic Rubber reinforced with fiberglass cords offering superior strength. Neoprene –invented as an oil-resistant substitute for natural rubber by DuPont scientists, on April 17, 1930.
Timing belts defined as a fantastic way to transfer rotational motion (from a stepper motor) into linear motion (along a rail). Thus these GT2 belts are excellent for this task. This GT2 Open Timing Belt manufactured with a special profile with rounded teeth which reduces backlash. They are widely used for precision 3D printers and CNC machines. And also used in mechanical devices, printers/photocopiers, robotics, automation, etc
This timing belt comes in 1164mm long (582 teeth on a 2mm tooth pitch) and is 6mm wide. The GT2 Pulley and Belt offer precise motion control at a very low cost. This belt with a rounded tooth profile guarantees that the belt tooth fits smoothly and perfectly in the pulley groove. Thus when you reverse the pulley direction, there is no room for the belt to move in the groove. This pulley designed explicitly for use with GT2 6mm wide belts only – MXL belts will slip due to the different tooth profiles. The Timing Belt also known as the synchronous belt, well known for its non-slipping mechanical drive belt. This pulley comes with 20 teeth, and a 5mm inner bore. Two set screws the belt attach it firmly to any 5mm diameter shaft such as one of our stepper motors. Full aluminum construction means these are very light and very durable.
