The L298 designed as an integrated monolithic circuit that comes in a 15- lead Multiwatt and PowerSO20 packages. These are high voltage, high current dual full-bridge driver explicitly to accept standard TTL logic levels and also to drive inductive loads such as relays, solenoids, DC and stepping motors. This IC provides two enable inputs utilized to enable or disable the device independently of the input signals. Each bridge’s bottom transistors’ emitters are linked, and the appropriate external terminal is utilised to connect an external sensing resistor. There is also an auxiliary supply input so that the logic may operate at a lower voltage.
