The LMx39-N series consists of four separate precision voltage comparators, each having an offset voltage specification of no more than 2 mV. These comparators were created to function with a single power source and a wide variety of voltages. Additionally, operation from split power supplies is conceivable, resulting in a low power supply current drain that is independent of the size of the facility supply voltage. Meanwhile, while being run from a single power supply voltage, these comparators have a unique feature in that the input common-mode voltage range includes ground.
The LMx39-N series is designed to work with TTL and CMOS directly. The devices directly interact with MOS logic when run from both plus and minus power supply — where the LM339’s low power consumption may be a major advantage over ordinary comparators.
