Description

RAMPS 1.6 is optimized and designed based on RAMPS1.4 by Biqu R & D team. RAMPS 1.6 interface board has a more powerful SMT MOSFET driver (up to 218W). The Structure of RAMPS 1.6  almost the same as Ramps 1.5. The difference is Ramps 1.6 has new 2pin connectors. This is more simple and convenient to connect, also will not be burnt easily. These connectors designed as gold-plated and have a rated current of 3A, which is very compact.

Ramps 1.6 consists of a good Heatsink above the MOS tube in order to give a better function to heat dissipation. They change the original plug-in MOS tube to a patch-type MOS tube in order to solve the problem of plug-in MOS. The RAMPS 1.6 become a control board with powerful upgrade capability and scalable modularity due to its multiple extended interface and replaceable parts functions. It works as a controller board when the pins on the back of the board connected to the Arduino Mega and the front connected to stepper motor drives.

This module can Supports up to 5 motor drivers with the standard A4988 / DRV8825 Pololu interface. Moreover, this Simple and convenient Connection provides larger power than Ramps 1.5/1.4. Thereby offers better Heat Dissipation with a heat sink. RAMPS1.6 features multiple extended interface and replaceable parts. Thus make RAMPS1.6 functions as a control board with powerful upgrade capability and scalable modularity. A 5A additional security and component protection fusion is provided.

Note:

  • Please don’t need to insert short-circuit cap under the driver When you plug in the TMC2100 driver,
  • Compared to all drivers, TMC2130 is the quietest, no matters whether it is ramps 1.5 or ramps 1.6
