A Float sensor is defined as a simple water level indicator. This water level controller is used in a pump, an indicator, an alarm, or other devices. YF-S402 Water Flow Measurement Sensor offers 1~5 litres/min Flow Rate used with hot water, cold water, warm water, clean water, and dirty water. These are arranged in line with your water line and consist of a pinwheel sensor to measure how much liquid has moved through it.
YF-S402 works on the principle of the Hall Effect. According to this principle, a voltage difference is induced in the conductor due to the rotation of the rotor. The integrated magnetic Hall Effect sensor in the sensor outputs an electrical pulse with every revolution. The Hall Effect sensor is protected from the water pipe, ensuring the sensor stays safe and dry. Thus, water flow is calculated by counting the pulses from the output of the sensor. Each pulse is approximately 4380 per litre.
These Flow meters offer a wide range of applications for measuring water flow and are quite easy to build a water management system using the renowned water flow sensor YF-S402. Moreover, the YF-S402 water flow sensor consists of three wires and easily interfaced with any microcontroller and Arduino board. It operates at a 5V Vcc supply providing pulse output. That digital signal, whose frequency is in the range between 0Hz and 100Hz, can be read directly through one of the digital input/output pins of a microcontroller. This Water flow sensor includes a plastic valve through which water can pass. Also water rotor, along with a Hall Effect sensor, senses and measures the water flow. As the water flows through the valve, the rotor rotates. This results in variation in the speed of the motor.
