The CC3D flight control board is a powerful and affordable, all-in-one stabilization hardware flight controller, based on OpenPilot firmware. Using the OpenPilot Ground Control Station (GCS) software, CC3D is configured to fly any airframe from fixed-wing to an octocopter. The CC3D is an updated version of the original Copter Control board. The only difference is using the powerful single-chip IMU. The CC3D board’s design consists of an improved gyro sensor which is less affected by temperature changes. Apart from the gyro sensor change, it is identical to the original Copter Control.
The Copter Control platform is designed to perform a host of functions on multi-copter, fixed-wing UAVs, and even Flybarless Helicopter support with auto level. The new version included Flexiport provides either I2C connectivity or a second serial port. CC3D boards also feature that you can add a GPS module, even waypoint based flight. Thus this OpenPilot CC3D is referred to as the most popular flight controller used for FPV Racing. They have a wide range of applications in many high-end FPV racers such as the Lumenier QAV 250 and the TBS Gemini.
This OpenPilot CC3D EVO Flight Controller Side Pin card is directly compatible with satellite receivers without the need for any additional cables. It also has a powerful STM32 32-bit microcontroller running at 90MIPs with 128KB Flash and 20KB RAM. The 3-axis high-performance MEMs technology is used for both gyro and accelerometer. The card can be programmed in Windows, Mac, or Linux with USB and OpenPilot software. This eliminates the need for any drivers to install.
