L298P Motor Driver Shield was designed as a multi-featured motor shield based around the L298P driver chip. And fits perfectly for Arduino Uno or other Arduino with compatible I/O pins.L298P motor driver is a monolithic integrated, high power driver for driving DC and stepper motors. The L298P is designed as a dual H bridge motor driver capable of driving a pair of DC motors or a single stepper motor. Hence it can control up to 2 DC motors with direction and speed control. This shield can individually drive up to two DC motors with a drive current up to 2A. This makes it perfect for building robot platforms. These Motor Shield are based on the L298, designed to drive inductive loads such as relays, solenoids, DC and stepping motors.
This L298P Motor Shield motor driver for Arduino is designed as one of the prominent and most versatile drivers available nowadays. This Arduino compatible motor Driver shield is capable of driving 2 DC motors or two 4-wire steppers and one 5v servo. Moreover, this motor driver shield uses eight high-speed Schottky diodes at the motor output as protection. The output enables the L293D to directly connects to the PWM outputs of the Arduino. The Stack design of the shield enables that it directly plug into the Arduino, making it easier to use. It features an onboard male header for an ultrasonic sensor connected to digital pins D7 & D8, a female header for the Bluetooth module, a servo header connected to pin D9, male headers connected to PWM pins D3, D5, D6. That makes it a great shield for any robotic project.
