The NRF24L01 module based on the latest RF modules uses the 2.4GHz transceiver from Nordic Semiconductor, the NRF24L01+. This module comes with the 2.4G antenna (2DB), with a 250Kbps transmission rate on open-air. And operated at a communication distance of 800-1K meters. This module widely used for long-distance communication. NRF24L01 module board features a reverse polarized SMA connector to achieve maximum RF range. Moreover, there is PA and LNA circuit on board, with the external antenna allows reaching long-distance than the one without these parts. This wireless Transceiver module is an ideal solution to design a wireless communication system at a low cost.
This module can be easily added with MCU/ARM/PIC/AVR/STM32 system. NRF24L01 module is a high power, long-range, and easy to use RF wireless transceiver module with a high on-air data rate of up to 1 – 2 Mbps. It comes with an external antenna and can work in ranges up to 1100 meters (requires a stable power supply, low data rate, and low surrounding interference with the line of sight). Hence this is one of the cheapest and easiest modules for wireless communications using Arduino, Raspberry Pi, and other microcontrollers. Moreover, this module supports a standard SPI interface, in which we can directly interface this module to any microcontroller. Thereby eliminating the need for an external circuit.
